Bike ride to Satara on 22-23rd Sept 2012

The monsoons are on their way out & the days are a mix of Sunny & Cloudy. This kind of weather is just right for the Bloom that covers the plateau of Kaas - Maharashtra's very own 'Valley of Flowers'.

The beauty of the bloom that carpets the entire plateau for around 2-3kms is indescribable. The mix of Blues & Yellows; Purples & Pinks is a sight which is pleasing both to the eye & the lens.

  1. My suggestion..

Visit Kaas Lake just after Kaas Plateau. It is a beautiful place.
If time permits, visit Shivaji sagar (Koyna backwater) at Bamanoli village.
