Join us at Nisarga Bhraman as we have arranged a one day trek to the beautiful fort Sudhagad on Sunday, 26th June 2016.

Height: 2030 Feet above MSL(Approx)
Grade: Easy
District: Raigad
Region: Pali
Base Village: Dhondase / Pacchapur
Sudhagad: Pali is a place where one out of the eight Ashtavinayak Ganesh Temples is located. Lord Ganesh of Pali is named ‘Ballaleshwar’. Base of Sudhagad Fort - Dhondase is situated about 12 odd kms from here. The fort is expansive and was earlier called ‘Bhorapgad’, it was when Shivaji Maharaj took over this fort, that the name ‘Sudhagad’ came into existence. Caves of Thanale situated nearby area stated that the construction of Sudhagad is about 1000 years old. Sudhagad was probably built to keep watch on trade routes and ghat routes like Nandand Ghat and Sawashni Ghat. The fort resembles Raigad in terms of construction and hence is often referred to as a Replica of Raigad!
Route to Sudhagad from Dhondase passes through the thick forest and one can witness presence of wild creatures.

Meet at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali at 5:15 Hrs. We will be travelling by a private non ac vehicle / bus.
Pick up points - Borivali, Oberoy Mall, Andheri Bisleri, Kalanagar, Sion, Chembur, Vashi, Kharghar, Panvel.

- Breakfast on the way
- Round of introduction, Do'es and Don't
- Start the trek by 9:30 Hrs
- Reach top of the fort by 12:30 Hrs
- Explore, Lunch, Rest
- Start descending towards Patchchapur by 3:30 Hrs
- Reach the base village by 6:00 Hrs
- Start Return Journey by 6:30 Hrs
- Reach Mumbai by 10:00 Hrs (Subjective)
The cost of the event would be Rs. 1000/- only.

Here is a list of all the things that need to be carried for the trek -
- A haversack to put in all the things to be carried for the even
- At least 1 set of spare clothes with a towel and napkin
- Windcheater or Poncho and Plastic to wrap your stuff
- At least 2 liters of water
- Lunch for the day
- Camera & something to munch on (Optional)
- Personal Medicines required if any
- Identity Proof
Few rules that we would like people to follow -
- Alcohol will strictly not be permitted on the trek. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek.
- Smoking will only be permitted after consultation with the Leader and the person will have to move away from the group to smoke.
- The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained.
- Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
- Please do not wear any jewelry or gold chains/rings.
- Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories”
