Uttar Karnataka Beach Trek

The western coast plains of India is a thin part nesteled between the western ghats of Sahyadri mountain range and the Arabean Sea. It has some beautiful and serene beaches along the coast. 

Join us as we at Nisarga Bhraman are heading for a beach trek to explore few of the beaches in Uttar Karnataka this winter. 

Batch 1: 3rd and 4th December 2016

Batch 2: 7th and 8th January 2017





Itinerary - Friday - 
  • Meet at Mumbai CSt at 20:30 Hrs sharp
  • Travel by 12133 Mumbai - Mangalore Express at 21:00 Hrs

Saturday - 

  • Breakfast n the train
  • Reach Kumta by 10:00 am
  • Proceed to Kumta Beach by Local transport
  • Start the trek on scerene beaches of Uttar Karnataka
  • Trek Route via Vannali Beach, Mangodlu Beach, Kadle Beach, Gudeangadi Beach, Nirvana Beach, Kagal beach, Belekan Beach or Paradise Beach
  • Lunch on the way
  • Night stay either at Belekan or Paradise beach


Sunday - 
  • Wake up call at 6:00 Hrs, Freshen up
  • Start trek at 07:00 Hrs
  • Start trek through Paradise Beach, Half Moon Beach, Om Beach, Kudle Beach & Gokarna Beach
  • Breakfast on the way
  • Reach Gokarna by 14:30 Hrs
  • Freshen up and have our Lunch at local Hotel
  • Start for Gokarna Road Railway Station
  • Travel to Mumbai by 12620/Matsyagandha Express 17:00 Hrs

Monday -
 

  • Reach Mumbai LTT at 06:35 Hrs



The Cost of the Trek is INR 3200/- only

Above mentioned cost includes -
  • Train Tickets  - Sleeper Non AC Coach Reservation
  • All food (Veg): 1 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner
  • Tented Accommodation @ Beach
  • Local Transport from Kumta to Gokarna
  • Guide and Expertise charges

The cost excludes - 
  • Food during the Train journey
  • Dinner on Sunday
  • Mineral Water, Cold Drinks etc.
  • Any personal expences
  • Anything other than mentioned in the include list

Here is a alist of the things to be carried - 

  • A haversack to put in all the things to be carried for the even
  • At least 1 set of spare clothes with a towel and napkin
  • Bedding Material (Sleeping Bag / Mat)
  • At least 2 liters of water
  • Something to munch on (Snacks, Dry Fruits, Biscuits etc)
  • Torch with extra set of batterries (Compulsary)
  • Camera with extra batterries (optional)
  • Personal Medicines required if any
  • Identity Proof

Few rules that we would like people to follow - 
  • Alcohol will strictly not be permitted on the trek. Anyone found in possession of the same or consuming it will be expelled from the trek.
  • Smoking will only be permitted after consultation with the Leader and the person will have to move away from the group to smoke.
  • The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained.
  • Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
  • Please do not wear any jewelry or gold chains/rings.
  • Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories”

Disclaimer: Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care. The organization will not be responsible for any injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.

Medical Disclaimer:
It is Important to be physically fit while on treks. If suffering from any allergy or ailment, please bring prescribed medicines to prevent serious health problem including heatstroke, sever headache, cough, dehydration and hypothermia. Participants suffering from chronic conditions like asthma bronchitis, blood pressure, migraine, diabetes etc should take permission from their physicians before treks.
