Night Trek from Katraj to Sinhgad on 24th-25th Nov 2012

One of the most popular trek routes in Pune is Katraj to Sihgad. Trek starts from the Katraj Ghat (Katraj Old Tunnel) and ends at Fort Sinhgad. The route travels through a series of mountains and one has to cross 17 hills to reach Sinhgad. It is a trek that tests your physical fitness, stamina and will power as it is a 5-6 Hrs walk / hike. But a Night time with moon light and cool breeze makes it a wonderful experience.
The Final destination, Sinhagad is famous for many important battles, most notably the battle of Sinhagad in 1670 by Tanaji Malusare. It is strategically located at the center of a string of other forts. Rajgad, Torna, Purandhar, Khadakwasla Dam can be viewed from the top.
