Nisarga Bhraman has arranged a daredevil rappelling of 300 Feet over Dukes Nose, Lonavala.
With the Mercury rising by the day, treks have taken a back burner. But there needs to be some activity to while away the weekend, and what better way to get the adrenaline running than a 300 feet Rappell off one of the most famous and well known sights around Lonavala; 'Dukes Nose'.
We invite you all to join Nisarga Bhraman for a adventure filled Rappel at Dukes Nose at Lonavala.
Batch 1: Sunday, 24th November 2013
Batch 2: Sunday, 15th December 2013
Meeting point: Jaichan Chawk, out side of Lonavala Railway Station at 8:00 am sharp
Participants from Mumbai - Travel by Indrayani Express that leaves Mumbai CST at 5:40 am and Dadar at 5:53 am.
Participants from Pune can take Local train from Pune Station at 6:30am and reach Lonavala by 8:00am.
The itinerary for the event is as below:
Sunday, 24th Nov:
> Train from Dadar to Lonavala (Indrayani Express)
> Travel from Lonavala to base vilage, Kurvande by public transport / jeep
> Introduction session, Rules and regulation
> Trek to the top of Duke's Nose
> Start 300 feet rappelling at Duke's Nose by 10 am
> Return journey by 3:00 pm approx.
> We will be back to Lonavala by 5:00 pm max.
Note: Those who finish off with their rappelling can return home in batches.
Cost of the event would be Rs 1400/- only which includes -
1. Transport from Lonavala to Lonavala
2. Packed Veg Lunch
3. All Expertise and Equipment charges

Here is a list of things to be carried for the event -
- Haversack to put in all the stuffs so that one would have both the hands free.
- At least 2-3 liters of water
- Breakfast and snacks
- Camera (Optional)
- Identity Proof
- Wear good trekking shoes
- Personal medicines required if any
Few rules that we would like people to follow -
- Smoking and possession and/or consumption of Alcohol will strictly not be permitted on the event & would lead to expulsion from the trek.
- Stay with the group.
- The leader’s decision will be final and binding on all members. No arguments will be entertained.
- Each member will be responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
- Please do not wear any jewelry or gold chains/rings.
- Please do not litter, we believe in the saying, “Wherever you go, leave only your footprints and take back only memories.”
