Explore Historic Burhanpur - Monuments & Pilgrims on 10th & 11th January 2015

The Historic city of Burhanpur is famous for its many beautiful monuments that lie scattered across the city. Most of the monuments lie in a state of ruins but they give us a fine idea of the grandeur of the Mughal Rule. The city was considered to be the Gateway to the South. A lesser known fact about the city is that Mumtaz Mahal breathed her last in this city and was entombed across the river Tapti before her tomb was shifted to The Taj Mahal in Agra.

Join us as we at Nisarga Bhraman are heading to Burhanpur to explore these monuments and pilgrims on January 9th 2015.

Trek to Dhauladhar Mountain Range in Himachal Pradesh, 23rd May to 5th June

Himalayan Trekking ... It will conjure up immediate memories of fun filled, carefree days. We at Nisarga Bhraman in colaboration with Sussat... Rebel on Wheels promises you all this and more, in the summer of 2014.

Taking forth our promise of making the outdoor accessible to you, we have planned a trek in Himachal Pradesh, at Dharmashala. Summer is the season to see the Himalayas at their best! Not only do we escape the sweltering heat and grime of the city but we also find solace in nature and adventure. Each of our trek is carefully designed with a judicious mix of comfort and challenge, so that we cater to all the enthusiastic and the intrepid. The focus being to strengthen your bond with nature and adventure. If this is the trek you look for then look no further.

About the place: Dhauladhars are themselves a mountain range quite apart from any other mountain range in the Himalayas. It is the outer most part of Himalayas. The rock faces of this granite range are so sharply cot that they fail to hold snow for long as a result you see snow in the gullies and on top.
This is an easy trek going through mixed forests of Iak, Rhododendron and Deodar in the foothills of the Dhauladhars. The trek offers added attraction for the bird watchers. Beautiful alpine meadows carpeted with flowers and medicinal plants, pasturelands, flocks of goats, sheep and wild birds and superb views from the passes make this a most wonderful route through the landscape dotted with many villages where we pause to meet the villagers and relax.

Trek to Kurdugad and Mangad on 19th Jan 2014

Nisarga Bhraman is going to explore 2 forts around Indapur, Raigad on Sunday, 19th January 2014.

We invite you to join us to explore these beautiful and less explored forts.

About the fort:

Kurdugad -

Near the base of the Kurdugad is a temple of goddess ‘Kurdai’. On the way up, there are remnants of a gateway. Entering by this gateway a Hanuman idol, about 1m in height grabs our attention. Behind this idol we find a natural ghal (groove). This groove can easily accommodate around 100-150 people. Fort has 2 large pinnacles, of which one comprises the Fort top. One can traverse the path around the pinnacle, but it is damaged completely at certain places in between. There are one or two water tanks on the fort. Fort top offers excellent view of entire nearby region. Location of the Kurdugad attaches to it real significance, strategically. A pass called Tamhani ghat, can be easily controlled from here. Besides, it has Raigad and Kokandiva forts on its backside. Half an hour is enough to explore the fort top.
